Disclaimer, I'm not a carpenter or an electrician. The goal is to provide insulation and heat. I built this as a test and proof of concept, it is not attached permanently to the house. If it works I will build at least one more and feed the output into a box storm window placed over the double hung window. Update: I now have the Shurcliff box storm window in place and have attached the existing heater to it. It is working pretty well in the new configuration, with 32 more sqft of glazing. At some point I will run new ducting to feed the window and heater with air from our basement, for now it uses the double hung window.
